Look for the large distinctive brick building on your left as you drive towards Brooklyn on Brooklyn Road (see the photo to the left).

From the Central Coast, drive south on the freeway towards Sydney and turn off to the left into the Mooney Mooney and Brooklyn exit just before you get to the Hawkesbury River bridge. This will take you onto the Old Pacific Highway. Cross the old Hawkesbury River bridge then take the second turn on the left into Brooklyn Road. Brooklyn on Hawkesbury is 1.5 kms on the left hand side, between two large marinas and is well signposted.

If you want to take the scenic route, the Old Pacific Highway goes right past the turn off to Brooklyn. Just look for the Old Hawkesbury River bridge .

By Rail

Catch the Sydney-Gosford-Newcastle train to Hawkesbury River railway station.

The walk from the railway station to Brooklyn on Hawkesbury is a pleasant and easy 2km stroll that will take you past parks and the mangroves alongside the river. A great way to start is with refreshments at the Brooklyn village, then take in the unique character of Brooklyn as you stroll to Brooklyn on Hawkesbury.

There is also a local bus service Shorelink that runs at various times.
By Boat

Brooklyn on Hawkesbury is on the south shore of Sandbrook Inlet which, in turn, is on the south side of Long Island. Navigate the lower Hawkesbury until just downriver from the F3 Motorway Bridge then turn south around the top of Long Island, then east into Sandbrook Inlet. You will see several large marinas running along the south side of the inlet. Brooklyn on Hawkesbury is immediately recognisable as the large brick complex between two of the larger marinas.
